Fully Frameless Glass Pool Fence - things to consider
With the installation of a new or replacing an existing pool fence, you need to ensure that the fence is installed in accordance to AUS/NZ 1926.1-2012. Our glass pool fence products are quality marine grade 2205 stainless steel that are fully tested & installed to meet AUS/NZ 1926.1-2012. When fixing into concrete either be core drill or base plate, its important we have an adequate surface to fit to.
Into concrete :
Have a minimum allowance of 80/100mm to core drill down into the reinforced concrete slab. The80/100mm depth excludes the thickness of the tiles and cement bed.
Onto timber :
A concrete footing of 300mm wide x 300mm deep directly under timber deck & poured the entire length of the fence to ensure a strong hold. We recommend painting the concrete footing black or a dark colour for the gaps between the timber boards.
On Pavers :
If under the pavers you have soil/sand you need to create a minimum (20MPa strength) reinforced concrete footing of 300mm wide x 300mm deep & poured the entire length of the fence to ensure a strong hold.
Every job is quoted based on materials and labour as this is the most beneficial to the client rather than charging a standard per metre rate. If you require a concrete footing we can arrange this to be done before installation. Any further questions at all please do not hesitate to contact us.
